Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant

No effluent leaves the boundary — as water for reuse, or as dry salt.

A Zero Liquid Discharge plant recovers essentially all the water from an effluent stream for reuse and leaves the dissolved solids as a dry, handleable solid. Getting there reliably depends on sizing the train for the salt load, not just the water load.
