Hastelloy C 276 & C22

For the streams that attack everything else.

Nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloys resist both oxidising and reducing acids, wet chlorine and strong chloride solutions. They are specified where a cheaper alloy would fail early and take the plant down with it.

Key features

  • C 276 for mixed acid, wet chlorine and hypochlorite service.
  • C 22 for oxidising conditions and improved crevice corrosion resistance.
  • Used selectively on wetted internals to keep project cost realistic.
